Gleaning our own cupboards clean—no recipe 
     to find or secret there to guard; only 
method to be praised companion to the first 
     profession pairing bodies warm with hot 
meals. It’s all we’ve got—and anytime we turn 
     around, some pig is trying to cop our taters.
It’s not just cooking either—there’s the centerpiece,
     & there’s placement, & plate presentation 
to consider. You sit in the chair & bring the table
     to the table. It’s everything we have 
which isn’t much, but knowledge & experience 
     in combinations with proportions gets it 
right everytime & everytime is different.
